The Biodiversity and Development Institute is setting up a long term bird ringing site on Fynbos Estate (@fynbosestate), an hour’s drive north of Cape Town. This cottage, the Black Eagle cottage, is the base for action. It provides comfortable accommodation for a dozen people. On this pioneer expedition we are a group of five ringers.
